We have contacted RIPE NCC with a request to get a block of addresses 2.2.2.0/24, but were told that the standard procedure does not allow us to choose an address range.
Is it possible to modify current Address Policy?
I know this is not going to answer your question, but you're better off going for IPv6. :-) Modifying current address policy to add value (through simplicity) to IP addresses? Unlikely. It was designed the way it is today, specifically to avoid this and all its resulting head-aches. Warm regards, Olivier -- Olivier MJ Crépin-Leblond, PhD http://www.gih.com/ocl.html
