it would be *really* nice is the few in disagreement could live with the
general consensus. and we certainly need to pay good attention to their
points. but sometimes we need to move ahead with there still being a
(very few) folk in disagreement.

I think this is where the point about having a mutual understanding is important:

- what the proposition changes and does not change

- what the opposing arguments are, to which points of the proposition

… because, as someone aptly noted earlier, the number of ayes and nays do not necessarily reflect the opinions of a majority or minority of the members.

It seems to me that we are just about there, now, and that any unclear statements, suggestions and criticisms can probably be considered "neutral".
