That's the point. DENIC isn't doing this for themselves. They do this for *you* in a peer2peer or client/server world, this statement is fatuous So we abandon DNS, because it's a model from the last century?
you can if you want to. i did not suggest doing so, so i guess you would like to. whatever rocks your boat. my point was simple, aside from the total end user (ones not running edonkey or having bought sony cds), most hosts provide to others, certainly all interesting hosts. while folk who need to look up in the de namespace appreciate what denic does, i don't think they do it for free. so we'll withold the gold medals if you don't mind. randy
