We have enough knowledge of intercontinental cable routes today in order to design a geographical aggregation topology. Do you *really* think anyone is willing to invest *real* money into a *real* project for a geographical aggregation topology ?
Especially as switching and digging new cables can be avoided by putting a bit more computing power into these boxes called routers ? And all this in a world, where certain "we think we are big" operators are refusing peerings with smaller ISP's ? Do you *really* think these "big is best" policy operators would change their dominating policy for a geographical concept ?
