Dear All, I have not seen to many coments to this proposal from the communicty yet. As this may be an important step forward for the Addressing community in formalizing the relationship with ICANN I would really urge all of you to spend some time reading the proposals. My very brief exec overview is: 1) The RIRs set up a comtting copperation trough the Numbering Resource Organisation so that they can enter into agreements witth 3rd parties. 2) An executive council is formed to have such authority 3) and to ratify global addressing policy 4) a Number Council with 3 representatives from each RIR is set up to give the Exec Board advice on global addressing policy 5) In the Number Council 1 representative is appointed by the RIR boards - the orther trough an open process 6) In the ICANN relationship the Number council acts as the Address council 7) There is a definition of Global Policy process It would be interesting to se community comments on theese issues - please read http://www.ripe.net/ripencc/about/regional/draft-public-comment.html ! and http://www.apnic.net/nro-comments !
