enforcing abuse requests for counterfeit goods, child pornography, etc…
Hi everyone, I have come across over a dozen "hosting" providers that host a slew of sites that are clearly selling illegal items. These "hosting" providers provide a contact address that is not checked, or at least not acted upon. I believe there should be policy enforcing your clients to respond to requests or they can have their ip addresses suspended. Using regular methods of law enforcement is almost useless, and they are not equipped with knowledge or equipment to handle these type of problems (counterfeit goods.) Domain resolutions take months and cost thousands. The only other option is you. Please consider.

thank you very much for your contribution. Please be so kind and name the RIPE policies and/or documents you would specifically have in mind if it is for a policy change and/or extension. Or you may want to start from scratch the creation of a new policy. Either way, please send text following RIPE's PDP according to ripe-500 (https://www.ripe.net/ripe/docs/ripe-500). Current RIPE policies you would find here: http://www.ripe.net/ripe/docs/current-ripe-documents/ripe-policies Current policy proposals to check whether your intention(s) might be covered already in somebody else's proposal you would find here: https://www.ripe.net/ripe/policies/current-proposals/current-policy-proposal... Thanks and kind regards, Carsten

Hi,
It's for Policy ripe-563.
That policy came out of the Anti-Abuse working group. Changes to it should probably be discussed there. The web page of the working group is http://www.ripe.net/ripe/groups/wg/anti-abuse and you can subscribe to the mailing at http://www.ripe.net/mailman/listinfo/anti-abuse-wg/ Cheers, Sander
