<div>I'm nominating myself because of my extensive experience within the technical side of the internet, as well as the political side of it. I've spent most of my adult life on working for a free and open internet, never backing down from controversial subjects that I think are highly important to address. I've been a vocal supporter for a more inclusive and diverse internet and come from a very different background, as an activist, into the RIPE world. I think it would be helpful for the internet community to have someone with my thinking and background involved in an organisation as RIPE, as well as the reverse.
<br />I've been involved in numerous cases, as a target, involving censorship, privacy and surveillance which gives me a unique insight and understanding of the role the internet plays, and in that sense also the role that I think that RIPE NCC should take, thinking about the influence that this organisation has towards other organisations as well as internally.</div>
