The amount of time that will transpire from the time of abuse and a LIR closed and their resources withdrawn can well be in excess of a year if not two years. Is that the end result we are looking for? If we believe that this is an excessive period of time, we can always draft another policy that allows reclaiming resources in case of policy violation in a faster way. In LACNIC there is one for that, I think following that policy will take less than 6 months, and of course than can be improved/tailored to our wishes as a community. However, I think it is a separated discussion.
