RIPE89 meeting - Call for presentations

Dear Connect WG members, This is a call for presentation proposals for our session that will take place during the upcoming RIPE 89 meeting in Prague (Czechia) from 28 Oct to 1 Nov 2024. You can read more details about the meeting and its plan in the following URL: https://ripe89.ripe.net/programme/meeting-plan/ We ask the members of the Working Group and RIPE NCC employees for presentation proposals for the 1.5 hour session that has been assigned to us on Thursday 31st October between 9:00 – 10:30 CET. When you submit a proposal, please also include slides for the chairs to review. If you've presented similar material elsewhere, please share with us as well when and where the material was presented. Hi Paul, I think it would be fair game to quote the preceding paragraph as well: "The BCOP TF brings together people to identify operational issues and motivate operators to document good operational practices *that are agreed upon between two or more parties*. [...] The main interest of the task force is that current operational practice are captured and documents are published." [1] I don't see how this justifies an objection to this proposal based on broad implementation. The authors have obviously agreed on this practice and I count five of them. Hi folks, We are discussing this subject since RIPE86 and we have presented our progress in both RIPE87 and RIPE88. Every time we bring this subject, we receive strong support from the community, both during the presentations and in personal discussions. We thank you all for that as it provides us fuel and motivation to continue our work. I have discussed the process with RIPE NCC employees and they are happy to adopt it as an official RIPE BCP/document, as long as the support is documented in this mailing list. Thus, we would like to make a call for adoption for this working item. Dear colleagues, Following up on the Connect WG Chair Selection Process discussed at RIPE 87 <https://ripe87.ripe.net/wp-content/uploads/presentations/107-connect-wg-rip…>, here is a formal call for nominations for RIPE Connect WG co-chairs. Please send your nomination (you can also nominate others) on the Working Group mailing list. A few words about your motivation and any ideas you might have for the future of the WG would be greatly appreciated. As per the agreed selection process in place: - Interested parties have two weeks to make their interest known via the mailing list, or directly to the Chair/s. (Nomination deadline: May 3rd) - After these two weeks (May 3rd), the Chair/s ensure that all candidates are announced on the mailing list and issue a call for discussion. - WG members express their approval, or otherwise, of the presented candidates. - Two weeks after the call for discussion (May 17th), the Chair/s declare a decision, based on mailing list discussion, as they would do for a policy proposal. The new Connect WG chairs will be introduced at the next Connect Working Group session, at RIPE 88, on May 23rd.
