Dear colleagues,

We are pleased to announce that the RIPE NCC has successfully delivered on our pledges to the Partner2Connect Digital Coalition <https://www.ripe.net/participate/internet-governance/multi-stakeholder-engagement/the-ripe-ncc-pledges-to-partners2connect-digital-coalition-initiative.pdf> initiated by the ITU-D.

In 2022, 2,946 new learners completed 30,679 e-learning modules in the RIPE NCC Academy. In addition, we delivered 41 face-to-face training courses to 903 participants. We also launched two new courses, on BGP Security and on Internet Governance, and we expanded our Certified Professionals programme with a new BGP Security Associate certification.

As an ITU-D sector member, the RIPE NCC joined the Partner2Connect Digital Coalition <https://www.itu.int/itu-d/sites/partner2connect/> at the beginning of 2022 to support its efforts in Focus Areas one and two: “connecting people everywhere” and “empowering communities".

The Partner2Connect Digital Coalition is a multistakeholder alliance launched by the ITU in close cooperation with the Office of the Secretary-General’s Envoy on Technology and in line with the UN Secretary-General’s Roadmap for Digital Cooperation.

This achievement reflects our commitment to supporting the development of the Internet and to building communities. It also underscores the important role that the RIPE NCC plays in connecting the unconnected.

Best Regards,
Chafic Chaya
