Is there any evidence to the contrary?
He’s absolutely fixated with Facebook and doesn’t seem particularly interested in anything else, so maybe he does think that Facebook is the internet.
Either way does it really matter?
The internet is global and we need cross border data flows to work sanely.
absolutely!
Schrems doesn’t seem to be particularly interested in finding solutions
That is an interesting point of view! Should he be... "...interested to find the European Union and/or a multi-billion company THE solution to their data protection challenges?", I'm inclined to add. I'd rather see him as an EU citizen who has seen his concerns backed by the ECJ - for how many times now? And I'd rather like to see the European Union to eventually come up with a solution that stands in court as it is in line with the current legislation. Or the European Union may seek for a majority to change the current legislation to better fit the needs of a global industry - either way. But telling Max Schrems that with the most recent effort, this time called "EU-US data transfer adequacy", it should now really be done with as enough is enough is a bit of a strange concept for me. All the best, -C.
