I agree that the message doesn’t really help the user to find the object. The software knows about the object so it should be an easy fix to add an identifier to the message.

I was wondering if it would be possible for the "Status %s not allowed when more specific object has status %s" error to be expanded in such a way that it reports what that specific object is. As it stands, it is rather difficult to determine when there is any overlap, especially when the upper and lower bounds of my inetnum object don't return any results when searching by single IP.
