We have now removed MD5 hashed passwords from all maintainers in the RIPE database. We will also shortly notify the maintainers of 171 IRT object containing MD5 hashed passwords, that we will remove these passwords on a later date. These passwords are used to authenticate "mnt-irt:" references in inet(6)num objects, and this authentication has only been done 3 times this year, but they also need to be removed.
