Hi David, May I ask what the reasoning behind contacting you directly is? It seems quite strange and lacking in transparency to me. -Cynthia On Fri, 29 Mar 2024, 01:25 David Tatlisu via db-wg, <db-wg@ripe.net> wrote:

Hi Cynthia, One of the reasons volunteers are asked to send their names off-list is to prevent people from assuming they don't need to bother if somebody else has already expressed interest. This is also why no potential candidates are named in the email. I can understand the transparency concern, but I trust that volunteers will be vocal on the list if they are not included in the list of volunteers, even though they expressed interest. Kind regards, David On 3/29/24 1:32 AM, Cynthia Revström wrote:

Hi David, You mention two seats to fill at RIPE 88. According to https://www.ripe.net/community/wg/active-wg/db/ only one seat is expiring at RIPE 88, can you describe what the situation is please?
