Query all route objects for a given AS?
Greetings, Sorry if this is an FAQ, but I'd like to know if there is a way to formulate a WHOIS query against whois.ripe.net in a way so as to obtain a complete list of the registered route objects that are associated with a given particular AS. If there's a way to do this, and if someone can instruct me on how it is done, I sure would appreciate that. Thanks.

I'm sorry, but your reply is not at all clear to me. Could you perhaps show me a complete example command line? Regards, rfg P.S. I also just now visited the following page: https://apps.db.ripe.net/search/query.html Under "Types" I checked only "route". Then in the search box I entered only the AS number of interest to me. Then I clicked on the "search" button. The result was that I only got the following error: ERROR:115: invalid search key Search key entered is not valid for the specified object type(s) Is it actually not possible to obtain from the RIPE WHOIS data base a list of all route objects currently associated with a particular AS number?

"-i origin" (inverse key search), like $ whois3 -T route6 -i origin AS5539 (taking "associated with a given particular AS" as "being registered with that origin" - if you want wider scale, like "this AS is documented as announcing a particular AS-Set, and I want to see all routes of all ASes mentioned in the AS-Set, or children of that", the RIPE DB cannot do it on its own, you need tools like IRRtoolset etc. for that) Gert Doering -- NetMaster -- have you enabled IPv6 on something today...?
