Hello!
It would also be great if the steno transcript were shown on the courtesy screens provided for speakers and chairs. Then, they wouldn’t have to turn their backs to the audience to take advantage of it.
Oh, missed that but it is definitely helpful e.g. if your english isn't so good, to see whether your words are transcribed the way you meant them.
I agree that there were some dining challenges. I appreciate the challenge of catering for 600 people.
Yeah, catering for hundreds of people is not an easy job, I have regular experience with 35 to keep in touch with gastro, and even though it isn't nearly as much as the conferences, it helps me to suggest accomodations doable with not too many changes in the workflow.
Perhaps, increasing the size and range of the salad bars would help? Salad bars generally have one item per container, making it much easier for diners to choose what will work for them.
Having salad for five days in a row also isn't great, tbh, and it's much more challenging to get the right amount and a good nutrition value. But yes, it is one of the ways.
One thing I’d add to the great list you provided is more recognition of the hubs. I assume that everyone attending at a hub was registered as online. It would be lovely if their participation in hubs were shown more clearly on the attendee pages.
Oh yes! It would be very lovely to have three attendee lists, one for onsite, another for local hubs and the last one for fully remote. This would also tell more about "who is going to be present in the local hub". And last but not least, considering the local hubs, it would be very fancy (though probably hard to achieve in a reliable way) to actually find a way to participate in a discussion through a remote mic.
