Dear DNS-WG, This is a friendly reminder that the DNS WG Chair Selection Process is indeed a selection process. As the serving DNS-WG co-chairs we will not count votes, but we will judge whether we have working group consensus for one of the candidates. We will base our judgement on the support expressed by members of the RIPE community. Please feel free to raise any questions or concerns here or by sending a direct mail to the DNS-WG co-chairs. Some more details on the process here: https://www.ripe.net/community/wg/active-wg/dns/dns-wg-chair-selection-proce... Cheers, Moritz, for the RIPE DNS working group co-chairs (Willem, Yevheniya and me)

I submitted my candidacy to serve the community and the DNS-WG, but since there’s another excellent candidate, well regarded by colleagues (and by me!), I’d like to step back and withdraw my candidacy.
Many thanks to everyone who supported me, and best wishes to Ulrich! -- antonio

And a big applause to you - WG chair selection is always an interesting excercise, especially if there is plenty of support for more candidates than seats. So, thanks for volunteering, and also thanks for solving this particular puzzle for us ;-) (You had my support, but Ulrich has my support as well, so I did not send an e-mail) Gert -- have you enabled IPv6 on something today...? Thanks Antonio for putting yourself forward! In the meantime, the WG is still welcome to express support (or opposition) for the remaining candidate. See you all next week! -- Moritz, for the RIPE DNS working group co-chairs (Willem, Yevheniya and me)
