Good Morning,

heading off to Krakow now and being exited about to meet you all either in person or remote in the IoT WG Session.

Please make yourself comfortable with your Meetecho link you received from RIPE NCC Event Team for your unique login and test it in previous sessions.

We are going to use Meetecho for the election of the new Co-Chair at the end of the session as scheduled as point E) in our agenda:

https://ripe88.ripe.net/programme/meeting-plan/iot-wg/

Feel free to familiarise yourself with the candidates beforehand within this mailing list as we haven’t scheduled much time for long introduction rounds.

The election will take place online and in the room via Meetecho and a short description will be given in the session.

Looking forward meeting you all

Dear working group members,

We passed our deadline for nomination of volunteers applying as IOT workgroup chair.

We go with:

As you have seen in our agenda for the IoT wg session in Krakow, we do have a tight agenda and for the election process itself we scheduled around 10 minutes at the end of the session.

Therefore I suggest, that you use the time until then and use the forum here to make up your mind on who would you like to see as your new co-chair. If you need further information on the candidates, please feel free to raise your question here as well. That give the candidates the chance, to add all supporting information here as we don’t have time in the session itself, to run a deep diving introduction round.

Kind regards,

Peter Wehrle

IoT co-chair

Betreff: [iot-wg] Call for RIPE IoT Working Group Chair

Dear colleagues,

as announced, we asked for volunteers to co-chair the RIPE IoT working group.

Until now, I got contacted by 2 volunteers who like to being elected for co-chair:

·       David Schweizer

·       Peter Steinhäuser

If anybody else like to volunteer as well, we keep the chance for application open until Thu 16th May (4 days before the RIPE starts). Please feel free to send a mail directly to this mailing list - with your name and some words as to why you think you ought to be a co-chair, what new ideas, or improvements you might bring, and so on.

Please feel free to give your support to the candidates within the mailing list.

The election itself will take place live during the IoT workgroup session using Mastrodon – giving equal chance to people being in the room as well as live online participants.

Kind regards,

Peter Wehrle

IoT co-chair
