This email is sent on behalf of the Number Resource Organization (NRO) NRO Statement on IANA Intellectual Property Rights The NRO has reviewed the IANA Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Assignment Agreement, the IANA IPR License Agreement and the IANA IPR Community Agreement, as published for comment at: https://www.ianacg.org/call-for-public-comment-on-iana-ipr-agreements And finds that these IPR agreements meet the requirements of the numbers community, as expressed in the CRISP Proposal at: https://www.nro.net/news/final-proposal-crisp The NRO notes that these agreements are presently posted for public comments through September 12, 2016 at 23:59 UTC. After that time, and presuming a favorable review of the comments received, the NRO intends to enter into these agreements in order to facilitate the IANA Stewardship transition. Dear colleagues, There is a call for nominations from the RIPE NCC service region to fill one vacant seat on the Number Resource Organization (NRO) Number Council (NC). The three-year term of Filiz Yilmaz ends on 31 December 2016. The election to the NRO NC seat will take place during the Plenary at the RIPE 73 Meeting to be held in Madrid from 24-28 October 2016. The voting for this election will be conducted electronically for the first time. Further information on the voting process is available online: https://www.ripe.net/participate/internet-governance/internet-technical-com… The deadline for nominations is 23 September 2016. Any individual residing within the RIPE NCC service region is eligible for nomination, except Regional Internet Registry (RIR) staff members. Self-nominations are permitted. Please send your nominations to <nominations(a)ripe.net> by 23:59 UTC on 23 September 2016. All confirmed nominations will be listed on the RIPE NCC website by 26 September 2016. All nominees may submit a written statement in support of their nomination for publication on the RIPE NCC website. Dear colleagues, As of 13:20 UTC+2, the intermittent access issue for the RIPE Database has been resolved. We are now investigating what caused the RIPE Database to be inaccessible for some users. Dear colleagues, We have updated the RIPE NCC Billing Procedure 2016: https://www.ripe.net/participate/member-support/info/billing/billing-proced… The Billing Procedure was updated to clarify the distinction between a RIPE NCC member and an LIR account. In particular, it clarifies that non-payment of the RIPE NCC membership fee leads to the termination of the RIPE NCC Standard Service Agreement for the member and consequently to the closure of all LIR accounts that member holds.
