Dear RIPE NCC members, The General Meeting takes place tomorrow, Wednesday, 22 October 2025 at 16:00 (UTC+3). REGISTER There’s still time to register to attend and vote at the General Meeting. You have until 14:00 (UTC+3) tomorrow, Wednesday, 22 October. It takes a couple of minutes to register in the LIR Portal: https://my.ripe.net/#/meetings/active Everyone who registers will receive a link to the Meetecho platform to join the meeting remotely and a link to the livestream. Onsite attendees can attend the meeting in the Main Room from 16:00 local time (UTC+3). ONSITE ATTENDEES - COLLECT STICKER If you are onsite at RIPE 91, collect your General Meeting sticker from the GM Help Desk, which is next to the Registration Desk. Without a sticker you will NOT be able to enter the Main Room for the General Meeting. The GM Help Desk is open today and tomorrow. VOTING All voting is done electronically through the voting platform Assembly Voting. All registered and eligible voters will receive two emails from Assembly Voting on Wednesday, 22 October at approximately 15:30 (UTC+3). One email will include a link to the platform and the other will include Voting Code 2, which you will need to log in to vote. [news] Phishing Alert: Fake RIPE NCC “Technical Information Verification” Email

Dear colleagues, We have received several reports of a phishing email claiming to be from the RIPE NCC. The message asks members to verify their technical contacts and resources in the LIR Portal and uses the subject line “Final Reminder: Technical Information Verification Due 25 October 2025.” This email was not sent by the RIPE NCC. Please do not click any links or share any details in response to it. How to identify official communications from the RIPE NCC: - Legitimate RIPE NCC emails are always sent from our official domain: @ ripe.net - Important member communications are shared via the RIPE NCC Announce and/or Members Discuss mailing lists - Official announcements also appear as news items on <https://www.ripe.net> www.ripe.net If you are unsure about the legitimacy of an email, or have any security-related concerns, please contact security(a)ripe.net. [news] Consultation Survey on RIPE NCC Strategy

Dear all, We are currently running a consultation survey on the Draft RIPE NCC Strategy 2027-2031, and we are asking members to take a few minutes to complete it. The survey is available to take now at: https://www.ripe.net/s/draft-strategy-consultation-survey We designed this survey to provide us with structured input that can help guide our activities for the duration of the next strategy period. The survey will remain open until the end of October. We also plan to share preliminary results at the strategy session that we will hold at the RIPE Meeting in Bucharest on Thursday next week, so we encourage you to fill it before then so your input is reflected at that session. Please note that you will need to sign in with your RIPE NCC Access account to take the survey. [news] Recent changes to the LIR Account Agreement

Dear all, At its 188th RIPE NCC meeting on 4-5 September 2025, the RIPE NCC Executive Board approved amendments to the LIR Account Agreement. These changes are made in response to the EU regulation Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA) which came into effect in January 2025. While the requirements apply to financial institutions, the RIPE NCC aims to facilitate the implementation of this regulation for those entities that are RIPE NCC members to a reasonable extent. The changes include: - Adding a definition of the LIR Portal and clarified what an LIR contact is (article 1) - Aligning the wording with the relevant clause in the Standard Service Agreement (article 2.2) - Clarifying that Members shall be liable for the actions of their LIR contacts (article 3) - Adding an article which details how we manage planned maintenance, how incidents can be reported. Dear all, On Thursday this week, 9 October at 11:30 UTC, there will be an Open House where you can join online with RIPE NCC management to discuss our draft five-year strategy. This strategy will guide our work for the coming years, so getting your input at this stage of the process is very important. Our Managing Director, Hans Petter Holen, will present the draft strategy and then we will discuss it with our members and community.
