[Apologies for duplicate emails] Dear colleagues, We would like to introduce the RIPE NCC Report Form. Using this form, you can now easily report various issues, including abnormalities in Internet number resource registrations, to us for further investigation. By making it easy to report these issues to us and by putting a clear process in place, we aim to work together with you to further improve the quality of the data in the Internet number resource registry. The first release of the form offers basic functionality. We will review the form, its usage and your feedback before deciding whether further development is needed in the future. This is also the deadline for sending a copy of your passport or ID to the RIPE NCC to confirm your registration to vote electronically. NRO Welcomes Public Comments on the ASO Review Report

Dear colleagues, Under the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) Bylaws, the Number Resource Organization (NRO) undertakes independent periodic reviews of the Address Supporting Organization (ASO). ITEMS International, a consultancy engaged by the NRO to conduct this current review, has delivered its report. Draft RIPE NCC Annual Report 2011 Now Available

Return of Legacy Space

Dear colleagues, In preparation for the ratification of "Global Policy for Post Exhaustion IPv4 Allocation Mechanisms by the IANA" (GPP-IPv4-2011) by the ICANN Board of Directors, we will remove from the available pool of IPv4 address space the IPv4 legacy space that has been returned to the RIPE NCC by various members. 1,368,576 IPv4 addresses were removed from the available pool of IPv4 address space on 14 March, 2012. It is intended that any IPv4 legacy space returned to the RIPE NCC will be placed in IANA's Recovered IPv4 Pool. Until now, legacy space returned to the RIPE NCC has been returned to the RIPE NCC's IPv4 available pool but is not re-distributed. By removing the legacy space from the RIPE NCC's IPv4 available pool, a more accurate overview of the actual space that can be distributed can be seen. As legacy space was distributed before the RIR system was introduced, the RIPE NCC does not have any policy governing the re-distribution of returned legacy space. We believe that placing this legacy space in the IANA's Recovered IPv4 Pool for redistribution to the RIRs will contribute to the future well-being of the Internet. Registration for Electronic Voting at the RIPE NCC General Meeting April 2012

Dear colleagues, At the upcoming RIPE NCC General Meeting (GM) in Ljubljana on 18 April 2012, electronic voting for the RIPE NCC Executive Board election and on the GM resolutions will be facilitated. Those attending the GM on site can vote either electronically or by using the traditional paper ballot method. A summary of what you need to do to register for electronic voting is provided at the end of this email. The voting period will begin after the resolutions are presented to the membership on 18 April and will remain open until 19 April at 14:00 (UTC +2). The voting period will give members in all time zones in the RIPE NCC service region adequate time to cast their votes. The RIPE NCC uses BigPulse, a third party that specialises in web-based voting solutions, to conduct the poll. Tomorrow, 14 March 2012, you will receive an email from the RIPE NCC inviting you to register for electronic voting with the BigPulse system. You should follow the instructions in the invitation email if you wish to register for electronic voting. The deadline to register for electronic voting is 17 April 2012. Those attending the GM in person who wish to vote electronically must also register by 17 April. NOTE: It will not be possible to register to vote electronically on the day of the GM.
