[Apologies for duplicate e-mails.] Dear Colleagues, The Address Supporting Organization Address Council (ASO AC) nomination period closes today, 15 October 2007, at 23:00 UTC. One individual from the RIPE community will be selected to serve on the ASO AC for a term of three years. Any individual may be nominated, with the exception of staff members of any Regional Internet Registry (RIR). Self-nominations are permitted. Please note that the date of the elections has been moved. Elections will take place at the RIPE 55 Meeting during the 09:00 Plenary session on *Wednesday, 24 October*. The GM will be held on 24 October 2007 at the Krasnapolsky Hotel from 17:45 - 19:00 adjacent to the RIPE 55 meeting in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Detailed information about the GM is available at: http://www.ripe.net/membership/gm/gm-october2007/index.html REGISTRATION ------------ The GM is open only to RIPE NCC members. Registration for the RIPE Meeting does not include registration for the GM. You must register separately. You can attend the RIPE NCC Services Working Group session held during RIPE 55 and the GM without being registered for RIPE 55. You can register online for the GM at: https://lirportal.ripe.net/lirportal/meeting/registration-general/meeting.h… Please complete the online registration form before 10 October 2007. In the event that your organisation is to be represented by a director or an employee, for example an administrative or technical contact, the registration form should state the name(s) of the employee(s) or director(s). Voting and Resolutions ---------------------- Candidate members are welcome to attend the GM but are not permitted to vote according to article 16.7 of the RIPE NCC Articles of Association. Members who are not able to attend the GM but still want to vote can do so by means of proxy voting as per article 16. Please also note that the GM can only pass resolutions that have been submitted and published according to article 15 of the RIPE NCC Articles of Association. [Apologies for duplicate e-mails.] Dear Colleagues, The 2007 nominations for representatives to the ASO Address Council (RIPE NCC service region) period is now open. The term of Hans Petter Holen, who has served as an Address Council (AC) member for the past three years, will expire on 31 December 2007. One individual from the RIPE NCC service region will be selected to serve on the ASO AC for a term of three years. The elections will take place during the the RIPE Address Policy Working Group session at the RIPE 55 Meeting, held in Amsterdam on 22 - 26 October. Any individual may be nominated, with the exception of staff members of any Regional Internet Registry (RIR). Self-nominations are permitted. Presentations on region-specific issues play a central part in the meeting agenda. Attendees can also meet with RIPE NCC staff and the region's key industry players. Presentations and Meeting Agenda -------------------------------- The presentations at this meeting are based on what you think are the most important topics for your region. The agenda (see below) has spaces reserved for presentations on issues affecting the local Internet community. We need your help to complete it. If you have ideas for presentations, please submit a proposal to <meeting(a)ripe.net>. Presentations can be given in English or Russian. Simultaneous translation between both languages is provided during the meeting. ASO AC: RIPE NCC Call for Nominations for ASO AC Seat

[Apologies for duplicate e-mails] Dear Colleagues, This is a call for the RIPE community to nominate individuals from the RIPE NCC service region to serve on the Address Supporting Organization (ASO) Address Council (AC). Hans Petter Holen (Visma IT AS) vacates his seat on 31 December, ending his three-year term. Important ---------- The ASO Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) states that the public nomination period should open 90 days in advance of the next open policy meeting (RIPE 55) and close 30 days before the start of this meeting. Due to an oversight in the RIPE NCC's administrative procedure, this public nomination period was not announced to the RIPE community at the scheduled time. We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused.
