Dear RIPE NCC member, The RIPE NCC Executive Board reminds you that the deadline for online registration for the RIPE NCC General Meeting (GM) and for submitting proxy forms is Wednesday, 22 April 2009 at 23:59 UTC. The GM will be held on Wednesday, 6 May 2009 from 16:00-19:00. It will be held adjacent to the RIPE 58 Meeting, which takes place from 4-8 May 2009 at the Krasnapolsky Hotel in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. The GM consists of two parts: * The RIPE NCC Services Working Group session begins at 16:00 and includes the presentation of the Report from the RIPE NCC. This part of the GM is open to everyone. * The second part of the GM follows immediately after the RIPE NCC Services WG session and is only open to RIPE NCC members who have registered for the GM. This part of the meeting is the forum where RIPE NCC members can discuss the operations and activities of the RIPE NCC and exercise their voting rights. More information about the GM is available at: http://www.ripe.net/membership/gm/gm-may2009/ Registration ---------------- You must register for the GM separately from the RIPE 58 Meeting. As a member, you can attend both the RIPE NCC Services Working Group session and the members-only section of the GM without being registered for RIPE 58. Dear RIPE NCC member, In compliance with the RIPE NCC Articles of Association, the RIPE NCC is calling for nominations to the RIPE NCC Executive Board. The nomination period is open until 15 April 2009. The vacant seat is for a three-year term and is to fill the place currently held by Dmitry Burkov, whose term expires in May 2009. Voting for the appointment of the RIPE NCC Executive Board member will take place at the upcoming RIPE NCC General Meeting (GM). The GM will be held on Wednesday, 6 May 2009 from 16:00-19:00, adjacent to the RIPE 58 Meeting, which takes place from 4-8 May 2009 at the Krasnapolsky Hotel Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Article [9.1] The members of the Executive Board shall be appointed by the General Meeting from a list of nominees to be drawn up by the Members. A nomination for the appointment of a member of the Executive Board shall need the written support of at least five Members. If three weeks before the General Meeting the number of candidates nominated for appointment as referred to above does not exceed the number of vacancies, the Executive Board shall have to nominate one or more candidates for appointment so that the total number of proposed candidates shall exceed the number of Executive Board members to be appointed by the General Meeting.
