Update to RIPE NCC LIR Portal

[Apologies for duplicates] Dear RIPE NCC member, The RIPE NCC is currently in the process of upgrading the LIR Portal to a single sign-on system. Once implemented, this system will allow members to more easily access all RIPE NCC services that require the user to sign in. To help ensure a smooth deployment, the upgrade will be rolled out in stages over the coming months. The first stage of deployment, upgrading the Billing section of the site, was carried out on Wednesday, 14 April. Because the deployment of this new sign-in system so far applies to only part of the LIR Portal, users may find that they are asked to sign in more than once as they move between different sections of the site. This is to be expected, and will continue until the single sign- on system has been fully deployed throughout the LIR Portal. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause users. The Report from the RIPE NCC presentation will not be repeated in the members-only section of the GM. Electronic Voting ----------------- For the first time, electronic voting is available for RIPE NCC members who are unable to attend the GM but who wish to vote in the RIPE NCC Executive Board elections. If you wish to vote electronically at the GM, you must register to do so by following the instructions in the email that was sent to members on 6 April 2010. A second registration email will be sent to members who have not registered. The deadline to register for electronic voting is 23:59 (UTC), 21 April 2010. This is also the deadline for sending a copy of your passport or ID to the RIPE NCC to confirm your registration to vote electronically. Last Call for Nominations to RIPE NCC Executive Board

Dear RIPE NCC member, The RIPE NCC is making a last call for nominations to the RIPE NCC Executive Board. The vacant seats are for two three-year terms and are to fill the places currently held by Nigel Titley and Jánoz Zsakó, whose terms expire in May 2010. Voting for the appointment of the RIPE NCC Executive Board members will take place at the upcoming RIPE NCC General Meeting (GM). The GM will be held on Wednesday, 5 May 2010 from 16:00-19:00 (CEST), adjacent to the RIPE 60 Meeting, which takes place from 3-7 May 2010 at the Prague Marriott Hotel, Czech Republic. You must be registered for the GM if you wish to attend and vote in the Executive Board election. If you would like to vote but cannot attend the GM, there are two options that will allow you to vote in the Executive Board elections: Electronic Voting All RIPE NCC members who are registered contacts were emailed invitations on 6 April 2010 to register to vote electronically at the GM. If you wish to vote electronically, you must register to do so by 23:59 (UTC) on 21 April 2010. Electronic voting is available only for the Executive Board elections and not for resolutions to be voted upon at the GM. Proxy Voting You can be represented by a third party who is not an authorised employee or director. If you wish to do this, please fill out the proxy form and send it to us by 23:59 (UTC) on 21 April 2010. Any proxy sent to us after this date will not be valid. RIPE NCC Executive Board Elections: Registration for Electronic Voting

Dear Colleagues, At the RIPE NCC General Meeting (GM) October 2009 in Lisbon, the RIPE NCC Articles of Association were amended, and approved, to allow for electronic voting for the RIPE NCC Executive Board elections. At the upcoming GM in Prague, Czech Republic on 5 May 2010, the RIPE NCC Executive Board elections will, for the first time, allow remote attendees to vote electronically in the elections for the Executive Board seats. Those attending the GM on site can vote using the traditional paper ballot method. The RIPE NCC has engaged BigPulse, a third party that specialises in web-based voting solutions, to conduct the poll. Today, 6 April 2010, you will receive an email from the RIPE NCC inviting you to register for electronic voting with the BigPulse system. You should follow the instructions in the invitation email if you wish to register for electronic voting. The deadline to register for electronic voting is 21 April 2010. RIPE NCC General Meeting May 2010 - Registration Open

Dear RIPE NCC member, The RIPE NCC Executive Board is pleased to invite you to the RIPE NCC General Meeting (GM). The GM will be held on Wednesday, 5 May 2010 from 16:00-19:00. The GM will be held adjacent to the RIPE 60 Meeting, which takes place from 3-7 May 2010 at the Prague Marriot Hotel in the Czech Republic. The GM will consist of two parts: * The RIPE NCC Services Working Group session will begin at 16:00 and will include the presentation of the report from the RIPE NCC. This part of the GM is open to everyone. * The second part of the GM follows immediately after the RIPE NCC Services Working Group session and is only open to RIPE NCC members who have registered for the GM. This part of the meeting is the forum in which RIPE NCC members can discuss the operations and activities of the RIPE NCC and exercise their voting rights.
