[GM] Call for Nominations - RIPE NCC Executive Board Election 2026
Dear RIPE NCC members, Nominations are now open for candidates to stand in the upcoming RIPE NCC Executive Board election. There will be an election for three seats at the RIPE NCC General Meeting (GM) on 20 May 2026. Each seat is for a three-year term. The election will fill the seats currently held by Raymond Jetten, Maria Häll and Harald A. Summa, whose terms expire in May 2026. The following skills and experience would be beneficial to the RIPE NCC Executive Board: - Experience in a senior management role - Financial management - Compliance and risk management - Strategic management - Good knowledge of the Internet governance arena - Legal understanding - IT/technology expertise - Ability to communicate effectively All those elected to the RIPE NCC Executive Board will be expected to fully take on the responsibilities and carry out their duties to the best of their abilities throughout their term on the Executive Board. RIPE NCC Executive Board members are also expected to represent the interests of the RIPE NCC membership and the RIPE NCC. -- Become a candidate -- If you would like to become a candidate, you will need to be nominated by a RIPE NCC member who is also a registered LIR contact in the LIR Portal. You can nominate yourself if you are a member or be nominated by someone else. You do not need to be a RIPE NCC member yourself to become a Board member. A person requires nominations from at least five RIPE NCC members, along with other legal criteria, to become a candidate. Nominate a candidate by filling out the form at: https://www.ripe.net/s/gm/may-2026/exec-board-election/nominate-a-candidate/ The deadline to submit a nomination is Wednesday, 29 April 2026 at 23:59 (UTC). -- Executive Board Election Code of Conduct -- All candidates must abide by the Executive Board Election Code of Conduct. The Code of Conduct applies to Executive Board candidates from the moment a nominee becomes a candidate until the deadline to raise any objections against the draft minutes of the General Meeting. This year, the Executive Board resolved that members of the RIPE Code of Conduct Team, who are not RIPE NCC staff or who do not declare a conflict of interest, shall form the Code of Conduct Team for the Executive Board elections.
