This month we sent out 18,000 invoices to our members and we’re preparing to send 4,000 more to our members in Russia. We’ve seen a sizable increase in policy transfers for IPv4, we’ve got over 400 RIPE Atlas anchors live, and so many events to invite you to. This is an exciting update, so enjoy. — Your LIR Stats LIR STATISTICS (change since last update) Number of LIRs: 20,757 (+174) LIRs with IPv6: 14,249 (+119) Policy transfers in December: 4,262,144 IPv4 addresses (+3,280,384) — New Homepage Features Did you know that you can create your own dashboard? Find out more and leave us your valuable feedback in the comments section: https://labs.ripe.net/Members/adam_castle/a-user-driven-homepage-coming-soon... — Redistribution of Excess Member Contribution Following approval by the RIPE NCC General Meeting in October, we will redistribute EUR 11.3 million to the membership this year, which will be marked as a discount on your 2019 invoice. The redistribution is only applied to members that were active by 31 December and paid 2018 fees. An LIR without Provider Independent (PI) resources will receive EUR 583, which is a 42% reduction on your 2019 fees. You can see how the 2018 redistribution is calculated here: https://www.ripe.net/participate/member-support/payment/redistribution/redis... — Billing Changes in 2019 We will be sending invoices to our members one month later than usual, on 18 February. This will help us to transition to an annual-only billing schedule, as announced in December 2018: https://www.ripe.net/ripe/mail/archives/ncc-announce/2018-December/001294.ht... Members with cash flow limitations can apply for a credit arrangement to help them make the transition to annual billing. We will share more information on how to apply for this early next week. — LIR Portal Maintenance At the end of January, we will carry out a planned upgrade of our document management system. Work on this will start on Friday, 25 January at 17:00 (UTC) and end on the evening of Sunday, 27 January. During this time the LIR Portal will be unavailable, as will the contact form on ripe.net. Enjoy recent data and IPv6 support with it! This gave us an opportunity to revamp the UI for the RIPE Atlas measurement details page. Since then, we’ve seen a big surge in the number of anchors connected, with the total having now risen past 430. Keep an eye on RIPE Labs for more details on this next week along with a look back at the 2018 campaign to sponsor another batch of RIPE Atlas anchors. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 3.
