ANNUAL STATEMENT/INVOICING 2017 LIRs can now view their annual statement for 2017 in the LIR Portal, which is an informative statement that includes a detailed specification of the fee to be paid in 2017. Invoices can also be viewed and paid via the LIR Portal, and they will be sent to members on 19 January. https://www.ripe.net/publications/news/about-ripe-ncc-and-ripe/annual-statem... RIPE NCC CHARGING SCHEME MODEL DISCUSSION RIPE NCC Executive Board Chairman Nigel Titley made a statement to members regarding the discussion on the charging scheme model used by the RIPE NCC. https://www.ripe.net/ripe/mail/archives/members-discuss/2017-January/002615.... MEMBER LUNCHES IN 2017 RIPE NCC Member Lunches allow you to meet with RIPE NCC staff in your country to give your feedback and input on how we can help you with your operations. Registration is already open for the lunches in Beirut and Amsterdam. See where we'll be going in 2017 and hopefully we'll see you for lunch. https://www.ripe.net/participate/member-support/member-lunches RIPE DATABASE - REVERSE DNS WIZARD The Reverse DNS Wizard in the RIPE Database now does even more real-time checks to help users with their configuration. We now offer validation on syntax, TCP and UDP pings on port 53, as well as Start of Authority verification. https://twitter.com/alexander_band/status/811953377059938304 LIR CONTACT MIGRATION Are you an LIR account administrator? Please use the contact migration wizard in the LIR Portal by 1 April 2017 to ensure we have one list of authorised users for each LIR. https://www.ripe.net/ripe/mail/archives/ncc-announce/2017-January/001125.htm... This migration simplifies user management in the LIR Portal while making members' communication with the RIPE NCC more secure. PROCESSING NEW MEMBER APPLICATIONS The RIPE NCC management applied Resolution 3 of the May 2016 General Meeting by extending the procedures to deal with such cases to include new membership applications from related legal entities (with the same contact person, directors, owners, applicant, etc.) The RIPE NCC Executive Board therefore declares that new membership applications from related legal entities should be processed according to the additional LIR account procedure; one application should be processed at a time. MOVING FORWARD WITH ALLOCATED PI/ALLOCATED UNSPECIFIED Based on feedback from the Address Policy Working Group, we are now preparing to contact all LIRs that have resources in the RIPE Database with the status ALLOCATED PI or ALLOCATED UNSPECIFIED. We will follow a case-by-case basis to resolve this issue. The aim is to bring clarity in regard to PI assignments made by these LIRs for both the resource holders and the LIRs, and to consistently apply RIPE policies to all ASSIGNED PI address space in the RIPE Database. https://www.ripe.net/ripe/mail/archives/address-policy-wg/2016-August/011661...
