It's important that database users are aware of these changes and what they mean. We have created a full impact analysis and implementation plan that will come into effect from 4 September 2018. RPKI VALIDATOR 3.0 The new RIPE NCC Validator 3.0 is in full production. Of course, we lead by example and run the new validator ourselves. It can be found at: https://rpki-validator.ripe.net/ API documentation can be found at: https://rpki-validator.ripe.net/swagger-ui.html COMPANY NAME CHANGE IMPROVEMENTS We have improved the request form for company name changes. It now offers a simple, step-by-step process to update the legal name as well as address and billing information. Is your membership still registered under the correct company name? Did your company change name, or was it acquired by another company? Do not take any risks and check it online via the LIR Portal: https://my.ripe.net/#/update-registry If you have problems logging in, you can always ask for help at <ncc@ripe.net>. RIPE 77 REGISTRATION OPEN RIPE 77 will take place from 15-19 October at the Okura Hotel in Amsterdam. RIPEstat: RPKI VALIDATION AND BANDWIDTH MEASUREMENTS It is now possible to validate a given ASN and prefix against all RPKI trust anchors through the new RPKI Validation data call. This is the first application of the RPKI data in RIPEstat and we are looking at providing more query options and historical support: https://stat.ripe.net/docs/data_api#RPKI Every bandwidth measurement run on the Speedchecker network (e.g., https://www.broadbandspeedchecker.co.uk/) is synchronised in close-to-realtime and is available within a few seconds through the Speedchecker Bandwidth Measurements data call: https://stat.ripe.net/docs/data_api#SpeedcheckerBandwidthMeasurements QUANTUM INTERNET HACKATHON - APPLY NOW The Quantum Internet Hackathon will take place in Amsterdam from 13-14 October 2018 prior to the RIPE 77 Meeting. IMPLEMENTING HSTS We are always aiming to improve security and implement best practices. We already deliver all our web services over SSL, and we will shortly implement a HSTS (HTTP Strict Transport Security) header. This additional feature will further improve security for the users of RIPE NCC web services. RIPE NCC REGIONAL MEETING ALMATY The RIPE NCC Regional Meeting Almaty will take place in Kazakhstan on 25 September 2018.
