Dear all, I want to let you know that we have moved our translated content to a new language centre on www.ripe.net. You can access it from the languages icon on the top right of our website, or go directly to: https://www.ripe.net/languages/ We currently provide material in six languages (Arabic, Farsi, Italian, Russian, Spanish and Turkish). And we are now opening up translations to the membership and community. Dear colleagues, We are four weeks away from the RIE NCC Services Working Group meeting at RIPE 89 in Prague, here is the draft agenda and the call for nominations to be one of the co-chairs of this working group. In accordance with the chair selection process we announce that the term of one of our co-chairs (Bijal Sanghani) will soon expire and we would like to invite volunteers, or nominations, for someone to become a co-chair of the RIPE NCC Services working group. Anyone may volunteer, and anyone may be nominated by someone else. To do this, please send a mail to ncc-services-wg-chairs(a)ripe.net before the end of Tuesday 15th October 2024. It would be helpful for candidates to provide some words as to why they think they ought to be a co-chair, what new ideas, or improvements they might bring, and so on. We will publish the list of volunteers, along with anything the volunteers include with their nomination, to this mailing list on Wednesday 16th October 2024. Discussion and support (or opposition) for each candidate can then be offered on the list. At the NCC Services working group session at RIPE 89, Janos and Rob will announce the candidate based on the mailing list discussion. Dear all, Yesterday, we had an Open House on the Draft RIPE NCC Activity Plan and Budget 2025. The recording is now available at: https://www.ripe.net/draft-activity-plan-open-house-2025/ The session saw statements from our Executive Board Chair and Treasurer, and presentations from our Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer. These were followed by a Q&A with members. Changes to the RIPEstat UI

Dear colleagues, Over the next few months, we will be making changes to RIPEstat, our information service and open data platform. Most noteworthy, we will introduce a new user interface (UI) that combines elements of the two previous versions introduced in 2013 and 2020. Initially, we will focus on reverting to the 2013 UI and adding the unique features that were available only in the 2020 UI. Afterwards, we will continue building on what we have, and on what we learned, and build something better that aligns with what our users need. Finally, we will sunset the 2020 UI as we continue developing the newer user interface. Our decision was made after extensive user research whilst we maintained two interfaces for a few years, and tried to bridge the gap between the ‘old’ and ‘new’. Our aim now is not simply to bring back an older platform, but to focus on the elements that matter to RIPEstat users the most, and build on them to modernise the product altogether.
