Charter for the RIPE NCC Services Working Group 1. AIM The aim of the RIPE NCC Services Working Group, is to provide a open forum for discussions on the current and future activites of the RIPE NCC, in terms of registration services, other permanent services as well as in terms of shorter or longer projects. The aim is also to act as a forum for discussions of the performance and the quality of the RIPE NCC in carrying out the before mentioned tasks. The RIPE NCC Services Working Group, in acting as a forum like above will give the participants the opportunity to discuss the matters, however as these eventually are impacting on the RIPE NCC budgets, the final say and decision power will always lay with the AGM of the RIPE NCC. The RIPE NCC Services Working Group, will also allow the discussions around new proposals for the RIPE NCC to take on, and for discussions of technical and non-technical issues around these projects. If the RIPE membership whishes, discussions around particular projects or tasks could or should be moved over to it's own working-groups. 2. Who can participate Although the discusions in the working-group might lead to proposals that have impact on the RIPE NCC budget, just as any other RIPE working-group, participation is open to anyone, and the working-group can not enforce any proposals in terms of activities of the RIPE NCC. 3. Workplan The work of the RIPE NCC Services Working Group will consits of regular updates from the RIPE NCC on the activities, performance, financials of registration services as wellw as projects, and other topics within the aim of the working-group that the RIPE NCC feels it would like to share with the participants. The working-group will also act as a forum for presentations of new activities or concerns over existing activities as set out in the aims of the working group. 4. Managment The RIPE NCC Working Group will have one chair, and one co-chair. If a position needs to be filled, voting will take place at the next RIPE NCC Services Working Group meeting at a RIPE meeting.
