Recently RIPE NCC has assigned a PI network for my client. It is 1536 IPs (/22+/23), and it was assigned as two completely different inetnums (with one same netname).
inetnums does not need to follow CIDR. So ask RIPE NCC to merge both inetnum objects to a single (continuous) one.
The problem is it is not always possible to provide that continuous range. And in future, when it will be no free space at all, it will be almost impossible. But customers need to know how much pay BEFORE sign the contract. -- WBR, Max Tulyev (MT6561-RIPE, 2:463/253@FIDO)
