The event aims to offer a platform for sustainability communication researchers from the America, Australasia, Europe, Africa and the Middle East region to document and present their works in the field of sustainability communication, across various audiences. The theme of the symposium is "Empowering Sustainability Through Communication". WSSC 2024 has three primary objectives as follows: To provide a platform for researchers in the field of sustainability communication to present their works. To provide a venue for researchers to publish their works in a Scopus-indexed book as part of the World Sustainability Series To offer an opportunity for researchers to network and establish future collaboration with scholars working with sustainability communication. As an output and long-term documentation of the event, selected papers will be published in the book "Communicating Sustainable Development Across Audiences" which will follow on the success of the "Encyclopedia of Sustainability in Higher Education" https://link.springer.com/referencework/10.1007/978-3-319-63951-2 which is a "living edition", and the "Encyclopedia of the UN Sustainable Development Goals" https://www.springer.com/series/15893, the largest editorial project on sustainable development ever undertaken. The book will be produced as part of the World Sustainability Series https://www.springer.com/series/13384, published by Springer Nature, which is fully indexed. All papers are peer-reviewed and publications in the book series have been officially counting for promotion and tenure purposes over the years. How to participate Researchers may submit any complete, original, and unpublished research papers, either conceptual or empirical. The Turnitin similarity index must be below 20%. To participate, participants need to submit an abstract of 200 to 300 words, along with the authors' names and full contact details. Abstracts should be sent to the coordinating team at WSSC2024 (at) gmail (dot) com and info (at) iccip (dot) net on or before 20th May 2024. Full papers are due by 30th September 2024.
