Atlas UI updates for 2026-06-09
Hello Atlas community, We have just pushed some new updates to the UI. Among the highlights: - Well-known measurements: In addition to Google, Facebook and Wikipedia, we have added Akamai, Amazon, Azure, Cloudflare, Fastly, Github, Instagram, LinkedIn, Netflix, Reddit, X and Youtube. We have also added the ability to set your choices on the results tab of the probe detail pages, share links to these selections, and save your preferences so that you always see your preferred selections when visiting these pages. In addition, these measurements have been added to the Well-known RTT map at https://atlas.ripe.net/maps/well-known - Probe connectivity use case enhancements: You can now select "All Probes" (careful, it may take some time to load) as well as a checkbox to separate probes by controller to see connections by controller visualised in the main graph. You can see the full list of what has changed in the release notes: https://atlas.ripe.net/docs/releases/website_index/2026-06-09 As always, we welcome your feedback and would love to know what you think. Kind regards, Stephen Atlas UI
Stephen, Nice! Can I propose another UI change? When showing the results page of a measurement (in a browser), there are switches for “Hide no reply” and “Hide no report”. An extra switch “Hide non active” would be nice. Currently non active probes on that page still show their latest result before they disconnected but in most measurements old results are not useful. Yes, there is a setting to sort on active or non-active but not for not showing non-active at all. Also it would be nice if the settings of these switches are maintained during sessions. Unrelated remark (I think someone recently already mentioned this); the email about a disconnected probe mentions: “You may be able to learn more about the possible cause from the "Status" tab on your probe's information page:” But such a page does not exist. Hi Ernst, Thanks! I will look into this and get back to you, thanks for the suggestion. As for the email pointing to the non existent status tab, that was reported and fixed last week as far as I am aware. You should not receive a message with this reference again, but please let us know if you do. Kind Regards, Stephen Atlas UI

ü> As for the email pointing to the non existent status tab, that was reported and fixed last week as far as I am aware. You should not receive a message with this reference again, but please let us know if you do. The link was fixed, but the text still mentioned to the no longer existing "Status" tab (rather than the "Overview" tab with the tags) as of 10:00 UTC today. Another thought regarding those notifications: The reconnect message not only shows the probe ID in the subject, but the probe's description as well. The disconnect message mentions the ID only. Suggestion is for the disconnect message to also render the probe description on the subject, in addition to the ID. I.e., as before the recent template update. Another, more minor thing: The disconnect message says the probe _has_ disconnected, but in many cases, the disconnect is not the probe's fault, but infrastructure dropping the connection, or not allowing to reconnect. Thus also here the suggestion to return to the more neutral phrasing "_is_ disconnected" that was used before the recent template update. Cheers, R.

Hi Stephen! Thanks for new release. Where can we find detailed list of well-known targets? I would like to know what domain/IP is exactly used to measure each target.
