Probe #16917 shows disconnected
Hi RIPE-Atlas-Probe-16917 gets the Adresse IP : 192.168.1.13 on the DHCP of the ADSL Modem but RipeAtlas site says probe is disconnected. I restarted it several times, checked the cable to the witch and replaced the power supply. No way : The 'globe' LED is permanently blinking. What else should I check ? Thanks, Jacques -- GnuPg : C8F5B1E3 WeUsePGP Because privacy matters http://weusepgp.info/
Flash keys are known to cause problems. Try also to replace yours with a new black one and reboot. After taking some persuasion it may start using it and re-appear. -- With Best Regards, Marat Khalili On June 22, 2016 12:24:24 AM GMT+03:00, "Jacques Lav!gnotte." <jacques@lavignotte.org> wrote:

Try also to replace yours with a new black one and reboot. Damn autocorrect! This meant to be: "Try to replace yours with a new blank one and reboot."

Yes. The small black thing inserted into a USB port labeled "3G/4G USB" is simply a flash key. You can replace it with a different one "of 3GB or more". -- With Best Regards, Marat Khalili On 22/06/16 17:20, Jacques Lav!gnotte. wrote:

Thank you Marat. Finally the thing accepted to start over :
From the map : https://atlas.ripe.net/probes/16917/
ID #16917 Current Status Connected (2016-06-22T17:59:09+02:00) Thanks everyone for the help. Jacques -- GnuPg : C8F5B1E3 WeUsePGP Because privacy matters http://weusepgp.info/
https://atlas.ripe.net/about/faq/#what-do-the-lights-on-the-side-of-the-prob... Please give it some time, it can upgrade the firmware. One hour would be enough. Generally power cycling a probe during the flashing is not good idea. It can brick or damage your probe. If a probe doesn't come online after that then it is a sign of a problem. Check your network and firewall settings. /vty On 6/21/16 11:24 PM, Jacques Lav!gnotte. wrote:
