Dear colleagues, We’d like to inform you that a new version of the software probe has been released, version 5100. Please find the changes below: All platforms As of this version, the ripe-atlas-probe-measurements repository on GitHub is deprecated. Its code has been merged into the ripe-atlas-software-probe repository Package can now be built with arbitrary shell shebangs. Note that only OpenWRT ash and bash are officially supported Bug fixed where permissions are wrong when systemd is disabled (reported by César de Tassis Filho <ctassisf@gmail.com>) A new code signing key has been introduced. It only signs Debian packages currently, but will sign the RHEL packages in an upcoming release as well. The current RHEL key will then be deprecated. This release already supports code signed using the new key Software probes Streamlined deployment on RHEL CI/CD systemd unit ownership moved to probe and anchor packages Debian 11/12 x86_64 support added Support for OpenWRT software probes and the hardware probes v3, 4 and 5 will be added in a future release. Hi Michel, there seems to be an issue with the Debian 11 and Debian 12 DEB file (ripe-atlas-repo_1.5-2_all.deb). According to Debian11-binary.en.md <https://github.com/RIPE-NCC/ripe-atlas-probe-doc/blob/master/manuals/Debian11-binary.en.md> and Debian12-binary.en.md <https://github.com/RIPE-NCC/ripe-atlas-probe-doc/blob/master/manuals/Debian12-binary.en.md> The file hash should be: 519aa81ced15a13cae784396a7ece83d2866d42c4fdc8a29c78ef3cefaa8e03c The file hash actually is: f33c27745f2bd87344be790465ef984a972fd539dc83bd4f61d4242c607ef1ee I downloaded it three times, and got the same mismatching hash each time. Hi Simon, Just checked the release documentation as well as the ftp.ripe.net server that hosts the repo files: 60d2e6e2cb36c383a1cdfb58a5c3b265aa9771e3d732adedecdd088736e2f05e RHEL 8 5c66f29b3c02b7289f25290d9d374fd7ea611447f4733ead7b9b51513791c324 RHEL 9 0bc6fa68360867c2742cfced3a2d04246a33a826c3d2fc3f6f4ecdaa53a35e08 Debian 12 519aa81ced15a13cae784396a7ece83d2866d42c4fdc8a29c78ef3cefaa8e03c Debian 11 Also verified that downloading those on my home Internet connection yields the same checksum, it does. We did update the metadata and the signature that validates the repository. An error crept in which caused older repository metadata to be signed for production. I also validated the complete process on both Debian 11 and Debian 12 using clean installs (minimal) without any problems during installation. Can you please try and download again and revert to me?
