A monthly performance report for these services is published on the IANA Numbering Services website. The reports have been compiled into the 2023 IANA Performance Matrix Summary Report by the five RIRs. This report is open to comment and feedback from the Internet number community for a 30-day period ending on Sunday, 25 February 2024 at 23:59 UTC. Comments on the IANA service performance should be sent to: iana-performance [at] nro [dot] net. The detailed call for comments is available below. ------------------------------------------ Call for Public Comments on the 2023 IANA Performance Matrix Summary Report ------------------------------------------ Dear colleagues, As a result of the successful IANA Stewardship transition in 2016, the IANA Numbering Services are currently managed through a Service Level Agreement between ICANN and the five Regional Internet Registries (RIRs). As part of the result of the IANA Stewardship transition, the IANA Numbering Services Review Committee (IANA RC) was established in 2016. The IANA RC is composed of representatives from each RIR region and advises and assists the RIRs in the review of the IANA Numbering Services. The IANA RC will publish an annual report in March 2024 as advice to the NRO EC with its evaluation of the IANA Numbering services. The report will be based on the IANA Performance Matrix Summary Report and on any input gathered from the global number community. All public comments will be published on the NRO Website in the dedicated IANA RC section and will be considered as input to the final report by the IANA. RIPE88 Call for Presentations now open!

Dear colleagues, The RIPE Programme Committee (PC) is now seeking content proposals for plenary presentations, lighting talks, tutorials and BoFs at RIPE 88. This meeting will take place in Krakow, Poland, from 20-24 May 2024. RIPE 88 will be a hybrid meeting, so both in-person and remote presentations are encouraged and will be accepted. The deadline to submit a presentation proposal is Monday, 11 March 2024. Proposals submitted after this date will only be considered if there are still time slots available. The redesigned www.ripe.net is now live

Dear colleagues, If you visit www.ripe.net today, you might notice some changes. For the past few months, we’ve been working on redesigning ripe.net, and we released the new version yesterday at approximately 18:00 UTC+1. Here are some of the major changes: • The design of the website has changed • The content management system has been changed from Plone to Wagtail • We migrated servers to make this switch • The website is now significantly more mobile and tablet friendly • We are using a new search engine on the website, so search results should be more relevant, and we will be investing time to make this experience even better • Accessibility has been improved, and we aim to align with WCAG 2.1 standards as soon as possible • Visitors should see some performance improvements, and we aim to continue adding improvements for usability and energy efficiency • The RIPE community is more prominent and easy to access from the top-level navigation under “community”, and we are applying a new community design to community-related pages: https://www.ripe.net/community/ The overall navigation of the website has not been significantly altered to ensure a smooth transition. We will be making more changes to the navigation to improve readability and discoverability. Many of you shared input in a survey and some of you joined us for user interviews at RIPE 86 and for conversations following my presentation at RIPE 87. Thank you for helping us through this process. While we have launched the newly redesigned website, with over 8,000 web pages migrated to the new platform, we know there will be fixes and tweaks needed in the weeks to come. EARN, the European Academic and Research Network, started in 1984 as the first multi-vendor computer communications network in Europe before the Internet became widely available in the region. For the next ten years, until it merged with RARE (Réseaux Associés pour la Recherche Européenne) to form TERENA in 1994, EARN was active in introducing computer networking throughout Europe and beyond (former Soviet republics, the Middle East and North Africa).
