The 2025 RIPE NomCom has published the final report about its work today. The report collects much of the information already published during the process as well as a short narrative about the work of the committee. The purpose is to both provide a record for the community and to help the next NomCom with their work. We welcome the election of the members of the AFRINIC Board as a positive step forward that brings increased stability and resiliency to the global Internet Number Registry System as AFRINIC works toward full restoration of its governance and activities to serve its membership and community. We are concerned to hear that there may be efforts to restrict and challenge the AFRINIC Board’s ability to act and perform its duties in service to the AFRINIC membership as well as the overall African community. Such a restriction would bring a level of instability to the global Internet Number Registry System that would negatively impact AFRINIC’s ability to fully serve the African continent. Hi everybody, As we shared within this list, the Consultation<https://www.nro.net/consultation-on-the-second-draft-of-the-governance-docu…> on the Second Draft of the "Governance Document for the Recognition, Operation, and Derecognition of Regional Internet Registries" was launched August 28th. To make your reading and analysis easier, we've prepared a redline/deltas/diffs document showing the precise textual changes that were made between version 1 of the RIR Governance Document (published on or about 14 April 2025) and version 2 of the document. Deleted text is displayed in red strikethrough formatting, and added text is displayed in blue underlined formatting. We also aim to publish a separate document shortly that summarizes and provides rationales for the major differences between the two versions.
