Dear colleagues, The European Commission has announced plans for a new Digital Services Act with the potential to affect many different actors in the Internet industry, covering liability standards for Internet intermediaries, a European system (and regulator) for notice-and-takedown procedures, and the role of online platforms in trading harmful products, among other topics. The European Commission is currently holding an open consultation on the act, which runs until 8 September, in order to solicit feedback from all stakeholders.
