Dear all, On 9 Jul it was annouced that the 28th RIPE meeting would take place in Amsterdam from 24-26 September inclusive. This mail aims to confirm and add some more detail to that announcement. The meeting will be held in the 'Park Plaza' which is a building in the centre of Amsterdam. More details of the building, its exact address and directions of how to get there can be found on our web site <http://www.ripe.net/meetings/rip e/mtg.html>. RIPE meetings have traditionaly been held in academic accomodation whereby a subsidized level of location hire has been available. Unfortunately due to a combination of fuly booked university space and the growing size of the RIPE meeting itself, a commercial alternative has had to be found. This alternative being the 'Park Plaza'. The cost of holding a RIPE meeting in a commercial location is significant and these costs have to be recouped. To that end the admission charge to the RIPE meeting from now on will be 100 ECU (price including refreshments and lunch on all 3 days, but excluding the RIPE dinner). This charge will cover the location hire costs but will not cover the catering costs. Therefore we are urgently seeking sponsers who are willing to sponser a lunch(s) and/or refreshments. Potential sponsers are requested to get in contact with myself (Paul Ridley) in order to receive more information as to what would be desired and what the sponser could get in return.
