Dear meeting participants, As with previous RIPE-meetings, a terminal room will be available. Unfortunately, as the host of the meeting (NIKHEF) is doing some reconstruction in the building, the 'usual' terminal room will not be available. We found a workaround for this but it is likely that less terminals will be available this time. For this reason, I strongly suggest that people who need to read mail bring a laptop computer with them as the terminals may be busy. For the laptops, we will provide 10baseT taps and a few 10base2 taps (though 10baseT is preferred) and 220 volts. Unfortunately, we will not be able to provide localtalk connectivity. A DHCP server will be provided for those who can use it, and also we will make available a number of static IP assignments on-site for the duration of the meeting. For those who need to set packet filters, the terminal room will use addresses in the range 193.0.0.0/23 (i.e. 193.0.0.0 - 193.0.1.255) Special requirements should be sent to <ncc@ripe.net> well in advance. Geert Jan PS: I am evaluating the possibility to have a PGP key signing party during the RIPE-meeting. As I'm not very experienced with PGP, I'm looking for a volunteer to process the collected public keys and prepare the key ring. If you are willing to help with this, please tell <ncc@ripe.net>.
