Ok, probably not the answer that you expected. You see, this kind of revelation ("We do OSI, We implement OSI and we even do it for DOS *yuck*) is not only offending to you but embarrasing to me too. So better forget it and go back to the brave new world of the Internet.
Toerless - are you admitting your efforts were not market driven either ?
Yes, shame upon me *grin*. You see, i think this whole discussion is a hoax. Being at a university i really see no point in this discussion. A university when doing research is in it's best opening up markets and not trying to fill existing markets with products (thats what the industry is good for). The failure has been that public money was spent on universities but without letting them decide what they want to do research for, so in the end it was something like the EU or BMFT saying that they think it's the best for Thompson, Siemens, Phillips (or whomever of these politically influential companies) if everybody is now only getting money for things that the USA do not do, just to keep them off our EU market. Just remember EG Richtlinie 13 !! THE VERY SAME THING IS HAPPENING NOW. YOU WONT GET ANY MONEY FROM NO PUBLIC FUNDS FOR NETWORKING IF YOUR REQUEST DOES NOT CONTAIN THE WORD ATM ON EVERY SECOND LINE !! Thats what i'm criticising. The market is what politicians think is good for industry and they don't care a shit for research in itself. Toerless
