I am still considering bringing my husband and boy, but probably only for part of the week. As you say, you get so busy during the week it's difficult to balance both! My wife and I - we just decided _not_ to go together to Ljubljana. 3 Children from 1 to 6 during all day and I only available in the evenings (and even not all evenings) just doesn't make sense for us. Especially as no other so far confirmed to come with children.
