Dear colleagues, Yesterday, at 11:06 UTC we attempted to migrate the RPKI core on the production environment from JDK8 to JDK11 via an automated deployment. Unfortunately, the update to the RPKI core was not successful, which resulted in RPKI becoming partially unavailable. The RPKI dashboard and API were no longer accessible which meant that no changes could be made to the ROA configurations or alerts. The provisioning (up/down) protocol used by non-hosted Certificate Authorities was also unavailable during this time. The RRDP and rsync public repositories were not impacted by this incident. At approximately 12:30 UTC, we reverted our changes and the RPKI core was back up and running. The RPKI team has since then fixed the upgrade issue and the migration has been completed successfully. The upgrade issue was caused by the production environment still using some file-based HSM keys. These file-based HSM keys are no longer used in the staging environment, so the issue was not detected before we attempted the production upgrade to JDK11. Kind regards, Stella Vouteva

Dear colleagues, Today we released a new major version (v2.0.0) of our RPKI Publication Server, in which the embedded database has been replaced using a PostgreSQL database. Additionally, we have also fixed a moderate security issue regarding bad mTLS configuration. You can get more information in the security advisory [1]. We advise you to upgrade your RPKI Publication Server, particularly if you run it in production. You can download the source code for this release from the project release page [2] and access the prebuilt docker image on docker hub [3]. Thanks for the inputs. I now went with packetvis. Does anybody know who is behind packetvis? The home page is pretty quiet. Basically it works, but I would have expected that packetivs also shows ROAs. It show all my prefixes, but it does not show which of them have ROAs and which not. Guide to using RIPE NCC's RPKI Publication Service

The RIPE NCC RPKI Publication Service for delegated Certification Authorities (CAs) is currently in an open beta phase: https://www.ripe.net/manage-ips-and-asns/resource-management/rpki/paas-onbo… Running Delegated RPKI has several advantages. Most notably, you can seamlessly manage multiple organisational entities in a single instance, even spanning several RIR service regions, and you can delegate resources to other business units or customers who in turn run their own CA to manage ROAs. In just a few weeks, RIPE NCC’s RPKI Publication Service is already hosting over 2000 Validated ROA Payloads, already cementing it as a popular member service.
