Dear All, We have made 2 enhancements to the RIS user interface. Both can be accessed through the RIS web-page at http://www.ripe.net/ris/ris-index.html or http://abcoude.ripe.net/ris/query.html 1. Standard query RIS data query. The standard RIS query has been split into two: - "Search by AS": this searches the RIS DB for an AS, returned is a list of prefixes and their AS paths in which the AS number is seen. - "Search by Prefix": this searches the RIS DB for a given prefix. While the functionality is the same as before, this should make the standard queries easier to use. The (existing) status report will show you which data has been inserted into the DB. 2. RIS report A first version of a daily RISreport has been put online. The RISreport is a tool to extract interesting quantities from the peering sessions and maintain their values in a data-base. From the data-base, one can generate plots through a web-interface. This version is limited to a few plots for only the first 2 RRC's (RRC00 and RRC01). However, the mechanism to produce these plots can be easily expanded to plot other quantities and we will add more plots in the near future. In the meantime, if you have suggestions for new plots, please post them to the list. We also plan to add plots for the other route collectors soon. The RISreport has been mainly built by Thomas Franchetti during his internship at the RIPE NCC from Aug-2000 to April-2001 and we like to thank him for his efforts. As usual, any feedback on how we can improve the RIS project is more than welcome.
