[Apologies for duplicate e-mails] Dear RIPE NCC member, The terms for the following RIPE NCC Executive Board members will expire at the RIPE NCC General Meeting (GM) in May 2007: * Janos Zsako * Nigel Titley Voting for the appointment of a RIPE NCC Executive Board member will take place at the GM. The vacant seats are both for three-year terms. In compliance with the RIPE NCC Articles of Association, the RIPE NCC is calling for nominations to the RIPE NCC Executive Board. The deadline for nominations is Wednesday, 18 April 2007. It also offers an overview of the activities carried out by the RIPE NCC and the services offered to its membership and the RIPE community. The latest edition of Member Update (April 2007) is also now available at: http://www.ripe.net/membership/newsletter/index.html The RIPE NCC Member Update is published a month prior to each RIPE Meeting. The main purpose of the Member Update is to: * Keep RIPE NCC members up-to-date with the services provided by the RIPE NCC; * Provide updates on policy development issues in the RIPE community; * List forthcoming RIPE NCC training courses and Internet related conferences that may be of interest to members. RIPE NCC members can, however, attend the GM without registering for the RIPE 54 Meeting. VOTING AND RESOLUTIONS When you arrive at the GM, you will receive a meeting folder that contains your membership status, voting slips and details of your voting rights. Candidate members may attend the meeting but are not allowed to vote according to article 16.3 of the RIPE NCC Articles of Association. Members who cannot attend the GM but who want to vote can do this by means of proxy voting as per article 16.4. To nominate a proxy voter, follow instructions at: http://www.ripe.net/membership/gm/gm-may2007/proxy.html The meeting can only pass resolutions that have been submitted and published according to articles 15.3 and 15.4 of the RIPE NCC Articles of Association that you can find at: http://www.ripe.net/ripe/docs/articles-association.html RIPE NCC REPORTS The RIPE NCC reporting for the GM will happen during the RIPE NCC Services Working Group. The RIPE NCC reports will not be repeated in the General Meeting.
