We also introduce attendees to the newest policies and procedures, explain terminology, and show how to efficiently communicate with us. The course is free of charge. We provide lunch and printed training materials. We do not cover any of your travel expenses or accommodation. We give all of our training courses in English. You can find more information about the course at: http://www.ripe.net/training/lir/ How to register: --------------------- The target audience of the LIR Training Course is employees of new LIRs, and new staff from established LIRs, who will deal with us as part of their regular work. You can register up to two people from your LIR for each course. (If there are places left nearer the time of the course, you can register more people). As we give out confidential information to attendees about their own LIR, only 'LIR contact persons' can register themselves for a course. LIR contact persons can also register other colleagues. One individual from the RIPE community will be selected to serve on the ASO AC for a term of three years. Any individual may be nominated, with the exception of staff members of any Regional Internet Registry (RIR). Self-nominations are permitted. Please note that the date of the elections has been moved. Elections will take place at the RIPE 55 Meeting during the 09:00 Plenary session on *Wednesday, 24 October*. [Apologies for duplicates] Dear RIPE NCC member, The Executive Board of the RIPE NCC Association invites you to the General Meeting (GM) of the RIPE NCC membership. The GM will be held on 24 October 2007 at the Krasnapolsky Hotel from 17:45 - 19:00 adjacent to the RIPE 55 meeting in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Detailed information about the GM is available at: http://www.ripe.net/membership/gm/gm-october2007/index.html REGISTRATION ------------ The GM is open only to RIPE NCC members. Registration for the RIPE Meeting does not include registration for the GM. You must register separately. You can attend the RIPE NCC Services Working Group session held during RIPE 55 and the GM without being registered for RIPE 55. You can register online for the GM at: https://lirportal.ripe.net/lirportal/meeting/registration-general/meeting.h… Please complete the online registration form before 10 October 2007. In the event that your organisation is to be represented by a director or an employee, for example an administrative or technical contact, the registration form should state the name(s) of the employee(s) or director(s).
