RIPE NCC Membership and Stakeholder Survey: Deadline Extended

[Apologies for duplicate emails] Dear colleagues, We are extending the deadline for you to participate in the RIPE NCC Membership and Stakeholder Survey 2011 until Tuesday, 14 June at 23:59 UTC. The survey can be found at: https://www.ripe.net/survey2011 This survey will be crucial for the RIPE NCC in determining its strategy for the years ahead. There are still four iPads to be given to respondents to the survey. The prize winners will be drawn at random by the OII, and the winners will be announced after the survey closes. The Oxford Internet Institute (OII) will analyse the results, and all identifying information will be removed before the data is given to the RIPE NCC. The survey can be found at: https://www.ripe.net/survey2011 ================= First iPad Winner ================= Congratulations to James Blessing, who was chosen at random by the Oxford Internet Institute (OII) as the winner of the "early bird" prize. The RIPE NCC will give four more iPads to respondents chosen at random by the OII. The prize winners will be drawn from all respondents who complete the survey by the closing date of 10 June. ========== The Survey ========== The results of this survey will be crucial for the RIPE NCC in determining its strategy for the years ahead. Analysis of the survey results will be conducted by the OII, and all identifying information will be removed before the data is given to the RIPE NCC. Dear colleagues, We're pleased to announce that a RIPE NCC Regional Meeting will take place at the Valamar Lacroma Hotel in Dubrovnik, Croatia, from 6-9 September 2011. RIPE NCC Membership and Stakeholder Survey 2011

Dear Colleagues, We would like to invite you to participate in the RIPE NCC Membership and Stakeholder Survey 2011. The survey is now available and can be found at: http://www.ripe.net/survey2011 This survey will be used by the RIPE NCC to assess its current service offering and shape its strategy for the years ahead. The RIPE NCC carries out these large-scale surveys every three years. They are extremely important in finding out the views of RIPE NCC members on the direction the RIPE NCC should be taking as an organisation. For the first time, the RIPE NCC is also asking for feedback from stakeholders, other than RIPE NCC members, in its service region. These people are engaged in areas relevant to the work of the RIPE NCC and, as such, their opinion is also of value. An independent third party, the Oxford Internet Institute (OII), will conduct the analysis of the data. Any information that may identify the respondent will be removed by the OII and will not be made available to the RIPE NCC or published in the report. Anonymity is completely assured. Please participate in this important survey before the closing date of 10 June 2011. The survey should take 15-20 minutes to complete. To encourage participation and early response, the RIPE NCC will give one iPad to an "early bird" responder, chosen at random by the OII, who completes the survey by 16 May. There will be four more iPads, also chosen at random, from all valid responses received by the closing date. The closing date for the survey is 10 June 2011. RIPE NCC Executive Board Results

Dear Colleagues, The RIPE NCC General Meeting was held Wednesday, 4 May 2011, adjacent to the RIPE 62 Meeting at the Krasnapolsky Hotel in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. The meeting agenda included an election to fill two RIPE NCC Executive Board seats for three-year terms. Christian Kaufmann and Fahad AlShirawi were elected by the membership to take the available seats on the Executive Board. There were 120 attendees, excluding RIPE NCC staff and observers from the other Regional Internet Registries. In addition to the Executive Board election, the RIPE NCC members approved two resolutions. The RIPE NCC 2010 Audited Financial Report was approved. And the RIPE NCC Executive Board was discharged with regard to its actions as set out in the 2010 Annual Report. The RIPE NCC would like to thank its membership for the input and support given at the General Meeting and congratulates our newly elected Executive Board members. The Executive Board also extended warm thanks to Andreas Wittkemper for the dedication and hard work he brought to the Board in his time as a member. RIPE NCC General Meeting: Remote Participation

Dear RIPE NCC member, The RIPE NCC General Meeting (GM) takes place tommorow, 4 May, from 18:00 to 20:00 (UTC+2). All members will receive an invitation by email containing a link to view the webcast of the GM. The mail will also contain a password that will allow you to participate in the GM using the chat facility. Members who registered to vote electronically for the RIPE NCC Executive Board elections will receive two further emails with invitations to vote for the two available seats on the Executive Board. Those voting electronically are especially encouraged to follow the GM proceedings via the webcast facility.
