Dear RIPE NCC members, The RIPE NCC Executive Board held its 139th Meeting via teleconference on 30 October 2020. The draft minutes of the meeting are now available: https://www.ripe.net/about-us/executive-board/minutes/2020/minutes-139th-ex… The Executive Board publishes the minutes of its meetings so that the workings of the Board and the decisions it makes are transparent for the membership that it represents. The following is a summary of the main items from the meeting. Further details are available in the minutes. - The RIPE NCC Executive Board decided to re-appoint Hervé Clément for another term on the Number Resource Organization Numbers Council (NRO NC), representing the RIPE NCC service region. Hervé's term will begin on 1 January 2021 and ends on 31 December 2023. - The Executive Board discussed moderation of the Membership Discussion mailing list. The Board agreed that general moderation should be removed to allow good discussion among members and instead individual members who do not act in accordance with the purpose of the mailing list and the principles of the RIPE Code of Conduct should be moderated. [news] RIPE NCC Community Projects Fund 2020

Dear colleagues, The RIPE NCC Community Projects Fund (CPF) supports projects from the RIPE NCC service region working for the ‘Good of the Internet’ with a total fund of €250,000. We opened the call for applications in June 2020. The application period was open for just over 8 weeks and more than 35 applications from 21 different countries were received. The RIPE NCC Community Projects Fund Selection Committee has reviewed the applications and is happy to announce that the following eight projects have been selected as the 2020 funding recipients. [GM] RIPE NCC General Meeting October 2020

Dear colleagues, The RIPE NCC General Meeting October 2020 took place over 28-30 October. A total of 1,401 members cast their votes on 4 resolutions. The following resolutions were passed by the General Meeting: Resolution 1: "The General Meeting approves that the RIPE NCC 2020 financial surplus will be redistributed to the membership in 2021." Resolution 2: "The General Meeting, in accordance with Article 21 of the Articles of Association, adopts the amendments to Article 1 of the Articles of Association as proposed and announced by the Executive Board on 28 October 2020. Furthermore, the General Meeting instructs and authorises the Executive Board to perform or to have performed all that is required to have the amendments executed before a Dutch civil law notary." Resolution 3: "The General Meeting, in accordance with Article 21 of the Articles of Association, adopts the amendments to Article 9.1 and Article 18 of the Articles of Association as proposed and announced by the Executive Board on 28 October 2020. Furthermore, the General Meeting instructs and authorises the Executive Board to perform or to have performed all that is required to have the amendments executed before a Dutch civil law notary." Resolution 4: "The General Meeting, in accordance with Article 21 of the Articles of Association, adopts the amendments to Article 10.4 of the Articles of Association as proposed and announced by the Executive Board on 28 October 2020. [service] LIR Portal / Document Management Issue Resolved

Dear colleagues, The problem with our document management system has been fixed and we have already started processing requests that were delayed. While we have solved the issue and repaired the affected documents, we are planning further work to strengthen the system as a result of this.
