Questions to discuss at RIPE 82 Code of Conduct BoF

Dear RIPE community, I'd like to thank everyone who contributed to our recent discussion on the draft RIPE Code of Conduct (CoC). We are using the input to update the draft. We plan to publish an updated version by the end of June. The RIPE Chair will decide if there is a consensus on that version. At next week's BoF, to be chaired by Olaf Kolkman, we want to gather your input on the other two items in our charter. We want your input on three key questions: - What kind of team is needed? - How should we balance process and speed? - What kind of process will be required to update the CoC or its processes? RIPE Programme Commitee Elections - RIPE 82

Dear Friends and Colleagues, The RIPE Programme Committee is responsible for recruiting and selecting presentations for the RIPE Meeting Plenary sessions. As the term of two RIPE PC members end, we are looking for new members in Spring 2021 who will be elected by the RIPE community at RIPE 82. There are currently two seats up for election to the RIPE PC. Please send nominations, with a biography, statement of interest and photograph, to pc(a)ripe.net. The Charter of the RIPE Programme Committee ( https://www.ripe.net/ripe/docs/ripe-pc-charter) provides more information about the composition and roles of the RIPE PC. Nominations for the RIPE 82 PC elections can be sent in from today until Tuesday May 18th, 15:30 CEST (UTC +2). We will announce the PC elections at the RIPE meeting opening sessions, but interested parties can nominate themselves from now. We will close candidate nominations on Tuesday at 15:30 CEST, and publish the biographies on the RIPE Meeting web site. The RIPE PC online voting system will be open from Tuesday May 18th, 16:00 CEST until Thursday May 20th, 17:00 CEST, for the community members to cast their votes. The total voting numbers may be public. More information will also be available at https://ripe82.ripe.net/programme/ripe-pc/become-a-member/ The official announcement of the elected RIPE PC members will be on Friday Morning 21st May, at the start of the 11:30 CEST closing plenary session. Microlearning: New in the RIPE NCC Academy

Dear colleagues, We’re happy to introduce ‘Microlearning’, a new section in the RIPE NCC Academy providing quick lessons that can be completed in under 15 minutes to help you do your work on the Internet. Microlearning kicks off with two tutorials on the ping and traceroute utilities. We plan to add more bite-sized lessons to this section going forward.
